Stefano’s is a culinary gem that has become a local institution specializing in delicious Italian-American cuisine. Their menu celebrates classic Italian cuisine with a modern twist, with expertly crafted pizzas, mouthwatering pasta, hand-cut prime steaks, and flavorful seafood. They carefully source their ingredients to ensure the highest quality and freshness, transporting diners as close to Italy as it gets in Morgantown!

Since 2007, Sargasso has been providing Morgantown locals and visitors with a unique culinary experience that is a blend of inspiration from local farms and cuisine around the world. When they opened their doors, they began a food revolution in Morgantown, introducing a new level of fine dining unlike anything else in town! Today, 16 years later, they are still locally owned and operated. They strive to “provide the premiere dining experience in the region by utilizing ingredients of the highest quality from local to international with each season.”  

The Sargasso culinary team takes influence from worldwide cultures, including those in Morgantown. Their menu is described as “New American” cuisine, focusing on the ingredients as building blocks of cooking. They work with local farmers and source local ingredients whenever possible while also importing items that can’t be found anywhere else, creating a truly unique dining destination. Wine Spectator has also honored them for having one of the most outstanding wine lists in the world!

The Wonder Bar Steakhouse

Located in nearby Clarksburg, WV, The Wonder Bar Steakhouse has a reputation for providing excellent service and the finest steaks, chops, and seafood for the past 77 years. Originally opened in 1946, it was lovingly handed down through the original family until it was sold to its current owners in 2012. Since then, the restaurant has undergone renovations in the front of the house and the back of the house and now has a state-of-the-art kitchen, elegant-yet-rustic touches like wooden beams and a rough cut stone façade, and a breathtaking outdoor dining patio with spectacular views of the surrounding hills and valleys. 

The Wonder Bar Steakhouse serves delicious steakhouse classics like USDA Choice or higher Grade Aged Certified Angus Beef steaks, veal and lamb chops, and refreshing wedge salads. Still, their menu also has a variety of new favorites that will satiate any craving. They have received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the past ten years and Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence for the past nine years, recognizing their expansive wine list offering wines from every corner of the globe.

Oliverio’s is a beloved family restaurant in Bridgeport that is all about telling stories and sharing memories through food and traditions. Initially opened in 1965 by Sonny and Shirley Oliverio as one of the four original restaurants in Bridgeport, they have now opened a second Oliverio’s location in Morgantown and their own catering and banquet hall. Today, three generations of the Oliviero family now work in their restaurants, sustaining their legacy as one of the best in the area. 

The Oliverio family’s love of food goes back generations to the streets of Calabria, Italy, and the Italian influence is prevalent in their menus with delicious pasta dishes, pizzas, and classic appetizers. Whatever you are craving, you’ll be able to find something delectable and satisfying at Oliverio’s. Their passion for bringing people together is evident in their comfortable atmosphere. If the food isn’t enough to keep you coming back (which it will be), their warm hospitality and impeccable service definitely will.

Bourbon Prime

Bourbon Prime is a sleek, high-end restaurant with views overlooking the Monongahela River that provides a warm and welcoming dining experience. They believe that food and wine should be celebrated, and there’s no better place to celebrate than in their restaurant with them! They convey the “Appalachian Spirit” through artfully-crafted libations, and their bourbon selection is one of the best in the area, if not the best. 

Their menu pays homage to locally sourced and seasonal ingredients purchased from local farmers who prioritize quality.
